Established over a century ago, Kömmerling is now the European market leader in the extrusion of PVC-U profiles for the window industry with a market share of 23% - the first choice for architects across Europe. Over 100 kilometres of Kömmerling PVC-U profile are produced annually on in excess of 140 extrusion units making Kömmerling, by volume, Europe's largest supplier.

Kömmerling was a leader in the design and introduction of PVC-U window systems over 30 years ago. Today the company stands at the forefront of systems development; designing and manufacturing top quality window and door profiles which combine good looks, outstanding depth and intelligent detail.

Kömmerling Systems have been tested and proven to perform in all kinds of extreme conditions. One test took place at 2,300 metres above sea level with windows exposed for fifteen years to strong UV-radiation, freezing temperatures and heavy storms. From windows to seals everything proved to be in the same condition at the end of the test period.

FULL KÖMMERLING GOLD SPECIFICATION:
MULTI-POINT LOCKING The GOLD system has been designed to accommodate the latest in security features. This includes multi-point locking to a force of upto 10kn, almost twice the national average for locking systems, to make each window as intruder-proof as possible.
STEEL RE-ENFORCED PROFILES The GOLD system's slim profiles are engineered to accommodate steel reinforcing for maximum strength, security and durability.
SEALED UNIT DOUBLE GLAZING Frame sections are designed to contain 28mm insulating double glazed sealed units to ensure optimum draught and noise insulation.
HIGH IMPACT PROFILE Kömmerling high impact modified profiles are built to last, with mechanically jointed or welded mullions and transomes. They are the number one choice for architects throughout Europe.
HOME COMFORT FRAMES Comfort and style are enhanced by superb engineering design. This provides excellent insulation and 'easy-clean' low maintenance surfaces, as well as a concealed gasket.
INTERNAL BEADING Frame sections for windows and glazed panels on doors may be specified as internally beaded for improved security External beading is available where required.
COLOURFAST PVC-U Kömmerling GOLD frames require minimal maintenance to keep your new windows in top condition. Long-term test reports are available to show that frames with over 20 years service in the harshest environments have been laboratory inspected to be as good as new.
MULTI-CHAMBER PROFILE All frame sections have multi-chamber throughout achieving high thermal performance available in both fully sculptured or champfered profiles.
LEAD FREE All profile is extruded using Calcium-Zinc stabilisers instead of Lead. This eliminates fading and discolouration. The silk mat sheen of our window profiles was the sign of quality and will continue to be even more so in the future, as the new CaZn profiles are expected to retain their beautiful sheen considerably longer than that of traditional stabilisers.
